CV

My name is Raquel Seimandi. I was born 39 years ago in Adrogué, Buenos Aires Province, the youngest child in a large family. Since 2007, I have lived in Argentine Patagonia, where I have found my home and the space to develop my artistic career. I am the mother of two children, who have chosen to embrace the challenge of growing up alongside me. My outlook on life is unconventional; I always try to see the positive and alternative side of things. My connection to art dates back to my childhood, and although it was dormant for years, in 2019 I decided to reconnect with my creative side through embroidery as a means of artistic expression. Since 2022, I have participated in solo and group exhibitions in museums, cultural centers, and galleries in various cities. In my early days, I was self-taught; however, I have invested time and financial resources in private technical training. This dedication has allowed other artists to recognize my style and generously mentor me, validating my place in the world of visual arts. I enjoy writing, reading, and deep reflection. I consciously work to overcome imposter syndrome and create works that are true to my emotions. I am passionate about exchanging ideas, as I believe that dialogue enriches everyone involved and leads to solutions. I acknowledge my imperfections and accept them as part of my humanity, incorporating them into my work to sublimate and allow for evolution. I deeply value connecting with others; I am easily moved and enjoy sharing, laughing, hugging, and helping. My artistic practice is integrated into my daily life, so it’s common to see me on social media enjoying a glass of wine, creating, writing, cooking, and simply being myself. Yes, I’m a Gemini.
